Please note that this is a very good NAPA National Account program that is very easy to implement and very rewarding to you and your customers, and their appreciation will be shown through increased purchases from your store, making it very profitable to you. There is NO COST TO YOU OR YOUR CUSTOMER. NOT NOW... NOT EVER! In order to understand the program, its benefits and details, you will need to commit about 10 minutes to sit down and read the details and view the Power Point presentation. It will possibly be the best investment of time that you have made in quite a while and will generate additional business from existing customers and will attract new heavy duty customers. A quick history lesson: AITA was established to provide small fleets with an opportunity to buy at discounted prices. The original program has expanded to include not only trucking, but all aspects involving trucking, such as manufacturing, industrial accounts, construction accounts, (especially heavy construction like roadbuilders), and agricultural and farming accounts. All of these areas, and others not mentioned, require trucking to move products, finished goods or equipment. Complete details are available on our web site at www.AITAonline.com, but I ask that you wait until you have read all of the details here before you go there. Independent truckers are involved in every aspect, as employees and as contract carriers, therefore, the other aspects of the industry are included. In our expansion, we have extended our benefits to service providers, such as truck repair shops, truck stops, escort vehicles and a host of other service providers under our umbrella of program participants. Trucking is one of the most dynamic and expansive industries in commerce, and AITA offers our benefits to anyone involved in the commerce of trucking and heavy duty equipment and its operation. If its Heavy Duty, or uses a "power unit", it's AITA! What this means to the TSM is that he can help his jobbers capture heavy duty business from local customers that are currently buying their parts elsewhere. At the present time, most NAPA jobbers are getting very little of the heavy duty business in their areas. This is mainly due to NAPA's prices for "low volume" accounts are slightly higher than the competition's prices for these same accounts, and the fact that the jobber has no way to reduce prices without sacrificing profit. Well, the AITA program allows him to sell at a lower price and capture the sales as well as the manufacturers' MI and fleet rebates. As a National Account, the account is set up to sell at M.I. or lowest dealer net prices and produce the gross profits necessary for the store to be profitable. The main difference, other than profits, is that at this pricing profile, the NAPA jobber will make sales he would not have gotten otherwise, and this is additional sales. As a TSM, you should encourage your jobbers to get credit applications from local truckers and open an account for those credit worthy individuals or businesses, and to get the jobber to register these accounts as AITA Affiliates. This will allow them to give these new accounts (or existing accounts) better prices. It will allow the jobber to capture additional profits and additional business by extending the Major Account status to the customer. The additional MI and Fleet rebates earned by the jobber will compensate him for the price reductions given to his customers. An added extra bonus is that some of these new trucking customers may even earn rebates (those that buy over $7,500 per quarter) from NAPA for their qualifying purchases. From the jobbers perspective, the NAPA Major Account program is one of the most profitable programs avaialble through NAPA. It yeilds a gross profit consistent with NAPA's GP objectives, and considerably higher than some other programs. It also encourages repeat business at the same pricing levels. If you, as a TSM, are not promoting this program to your jobbers, you are missing an opportunity for you to make your sales quota, the jobber to capture additional sales, and the customers to have a chance to buy more from NAPA.
