A quick history lesson: AITA was established to provide small fleets with an opportunity to buy at discounted prices. The original program has expanded to include not only trucking, but all aspects involving trucking, such as manufacturing, industrial accounts, construction accounts, (especially heavy construction like roadbuilders), and agricultural and farming accounts. All of these areas, and others not mentioned, require trucking to move products, finished goods or equipment. Complete details are available on our web site at www.AITAonline.com, but I ask that you wait until you have read all of the details here before you go there. Independent truckers are involved in every aspect, as employees and as contract carriers, therefore, the other aspects of the industry are included. In our expansion, we have extended our benefits to service providers, such as truck repair shops, truck stops, escort vehicles and a host of other service providers under our umbrella of program participants. Trucking is one of the most dynamic and expansive industries in commerce, and AITA offers our benefits to anyone involved in the commerce of trucking and heavy duty equipment and its operation. If its Heavy Duty, or uses a "power unit", it's AITA! What this means to the NAPA Salesman is more opportunity to offer our program to these businesses. Store Instructions: Every NAPA store has existing customers to whom they have made every price cut they can, and they need a little something extra, then this program may help. If you have a low volume customer that fails to meet the rebate requirements set by the manufacturers, enrolling them in AITA will place them in the exepmpt category for purchase minimums for their master installer and fleet rebate programs. This will allow you to sell to them and capture the maunfacturers rebates, allowing you to make a more reasonable gross profit. If this is a high volume customer, with purchases exceeding $7,500. per quarter, and you have made the same price concessions, then the NAPA National Account rebate program may allow you to add extra incentive to that account. What would be better than to be able to take that customer a rebate check each quarter to reward them for their loyalty and patronage? The AITA Fleet Affiliate program would make that possible. What must you do to get started? Develop a "Prospect List" Get with your outside salesman, or, if you do not have an outside salesman, sit down and look at your account list. If you have a heavy duty customer that you would like to offer additional benefits to, without involving a cost to him or you, then you need to enroll them in AITA. Trucking, construction, Heavy Duty repair shops, or any other business that is involved in or serves heavy duty operations or use and operate diesel engines qualify to become an AITA Fleet Affiliate. Put them on your list (Please do NOT include automotive repair shops!) Discuss the list with your salesman: If you have an outside salesman, let him know what you are doing. He needs to pass the information along to the customer, letting the customer know that you not only value their business, but that you are looking for way to help them save money. The salesman's support and knowledge is crucial. Enrollment Costs: Through a Special Agreement with NAPA, The First Year's enrollement fee will be waived. Sign Them Up! AITA's agreement with NAPA waives the sign-up fees, therefore, there are NO COSTS to the Customer, so, on their next call your salesman can outline the benefits of the program and encourage them to join. There will be no charges to the company nor the store, and there are no ways for the program to cost them anything. It is a True Benefit. As an AITA Fleet Affiliate, they may utilize any of the programs available through AITA, especially the NAPA Major Account program. As an AITA Fleet Affiliate, if their purchases exceed $7,500 per quarter, NAPA will pay them a National Account rebate of 4% on qualified purchases. The customer's renewal fees will be deducted from AITA's administrative fees, therefore, THE CUSTOMER WILL NEVER BE BILLED! Make the necessary changes in your computer. Contact your DC Major Account Manger Have the DC Major Account Manager register the account with Atlanta. Please Click Here and use the Enrollment List provided. Using this list will allow us to add new affiliates without confusion over enrollment dates. We will not use the information for spamming or junk mailing, but we do need the information for clerical and registration purposes. If you will publicize the program, they will buy more. If you would like to capture a lot of NEW heavy duty business, you can become an AITA Participating Location. Once you follow the process outlined below, you should start getting the word out to local truckers, the small operators with one or two trucks. At the present time, they may be buying some parts from you, but a true assessment will reveal that they are not buying many of those parts from you. You probably have already established their account, but are not getting much business from them. If you will get with them and explain that you have a new program available for them, they will appreciate your efforts and their appreciation will be shown in increased purchases. The AITA program will make regular customers out of previosly occassional buyers, and better buyers out of occasional customers. You must get the word out to the small operator that you have a NEW Trucking Program that you can sell to them through. This is a new program, so you can justify the price reduction as something previously not available. The AITA program allows you to sell to HD Customers at a discounted price, and you can recover the fleet rebates and MI rebates available from your suppliers, allowing you to maintain a good gross profit margin, especially since this is for parts you have not previously been selling to these customers. Some of your customers may even earn rebates, if they meet the qualifying minimums ($7500.00 per quarter in TOTAL purchases allows them to get a 4% rebate on QUALIFYING PURCHASES.) and this tool is a big deal to most customers. If you will publicize the program, they will come. If you would like to capture a lot of NEW heavy duty business, you can become an AITA Participating Location.
